Una Bella Vita Boutique: A Dream Realized

Local award-winning Artist, Interior Decorator, Author, and Visual Merchandiser, Beth Hudson is thrilled to announce the opening of her very own shop, Una Bella Vita Boutique. This venture is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, drive and a dream come true.

A Vision Years in the Making

​

Many of you may recognize Beth from her various roles in the community. As the Facilitator at Answers For Women - running events for women across Ontario, the Executive Director of the non-profit organization INCITE - that inspired and empowered single moms and their children in the community, Administrator of the 'Made in Canada' Facebook Group (with over 114K Members) and in retail as a Store Manager at UpCountry and Urban Barn, Interior Decorator at Mobilia and Elizabeth Interiors, Visual Merchandiser at HomeSense and English Butler, and Sales Associate at La-Z-boy. She also worked with many children in the community (who are all grown up now!) as a Daycare Teacher at Brant Children's Centre and as a Supervisor in the YMCA after-school programs. Beth is passionate about giving back to the community and for years volunteered at the Salvation Army Toy Drive and Christmas Kettles, as well as at the Rotary's Ribfest, was a Board Member at Stoa and was on the Parent Advisory Board for the YMCA Burlington. Beth also designed and organized the Extreme Makeover at the Shifra Home - A shelter for homeless young mothers with babies. Most recently, Beth has been serving the community offering Interior Decorating services and sharing her own creative work - painted antiques and bespoke furniture, through her decorating business MAKE-OVER Boutique and Design. You can presently see her work at the MAKE-OVER pop-up boutique in the Hamilton Antique Mall (booth 31E) on Ottawa St. in Hamilton.

Beth is educated in Interior Decorating, Graphic Design and Fine Arts - majoring in textiles and minoring furniture design, and has additional training in Home Staging. She is the proud winner of the Burlington/ Hamilton's Junior League's Community Leader Award in 2016 and was a nominee in 2015 for both the Citizen of the Year and the Community Service Award for the city of Burlington, Ontario, due to her contributions to the community. She is an author, writing 'Create Your Dream Life With Purpose, Passion and Excitement' and 'A Journey To Self-Discovery', both self-development programs based on her self-development workshop courses, created the Answers For Women Magazine and launched the The Single Moms Show. With over 36 years of experience in art, retail, interior decorating, visual merchandising and event planning, Beth has long envisioned owning a warm and friendly boutique that embodies beauty, joy, and inspiration.

 

Una Bella Vita Boutique will not be just a boutique; but a haven filled with unique items, including Beth's own work and those of other local talented artisans. The boutique will also boast a well-curated collection of furniture and home decor pieces, fashion, beauty, self-care and lifestyle items - including antiques and vintage items, sure to please the most distinguished shopper.

 

Beth is passionate about connecting, inspiring and supporting local craftspeople, artists and fellow entrepreneurs - encouraging 'Made in Canada' products and art and encouraging buying local and supporting small businesses.

Una Bella Vita Boutique is more than a retail space; it is a place for  friends, family, and the community to gather for shopping, exploring and creating. It will be a centre for connection, creativity, learning, inspiration and fun. Beth will be collaborating with the finest in local designers, taste-makers, coaches, guides, and industry creatives to create a favourite destination for timeless interiors, fashion, beauty, self-care, and tips for living life well.

Beth's love of history, culture, and travel is evident in her work and the carefully curated collections she offers. Visitors are encouraged to drop in anytime to say hello, shop or simply enjoy a sip and a friendly chat with Beth. She is always eager to discuss her (and your) passions, including travel (especially solo-traveling in Italy), fur babies, manifesting and spirituality, interior decorating, and chalk painting furniture.
